The Fieldston Historic District is located in the heart of Riverdale, home to some of New York City’s finest schools and public green spaces.

Schools
 
Many young families are attracted to Fieldston by the prestigious schools that grace the neighborhood. Green Space
 
Centered around Delafield pond and with hundreds of trees and
numerous wooded areas spread throughout its 140 acres, Fieldston offers its residents plenty of green space to enjoy. In addition to

the lush foliage throughout the neighborhood, Fieldston also benefits from its proximity to Wave Hill, a public botanical garden overlooking the Hudson River, Van Courtland Park, New York City’s fourth largest park, and the many small parks and playgrounds scattered throughout Riverdale.  To view Fieldston's green spaces, please click here.

Transportation
 

Nestled between the Henry Hudson Parkway to west and I-87 to the east, Fieldston is minutes by car from both Manhattan, Northern New Jersey and Westchester County. Daily commuters into Manhattan who wish to take advantage of mass transit have easy access to both the Metro North commuter rail line and the Broadway-Seventh Avenue subway line. The Metro North Hudson line offers a convenient shuttle service to Fieldston from both the Spuyton Duyvil and Riverdale Stations while the Broadway-Seventh Avenue subway line terminates at Broadway and West 242nd Street, a short walk from the heart of Fieldston.
