FIELDSTON HISTORIC DISTRICT​

Noted for its tranquil atmosphere, abundance of trees and proximity to New York City, the Fieldston Historic District survives today as a rare, largely intact example of a romantic, planned suburban community. The stylistically varied residences, the distinctive topography and the landscaped setting create a distinct sense of place and give the district its special character. The majority of the neighborhood is included in the Fieldston Historic District, designated by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 2006. Fieldston is one of the few neighborhoods in New York City to be completely privately owned. The streets and common areas are owned by the Fieldston Property Owners' Association (FPOA).
